Assist in planning, developing and implementing comprehensive IT infrastructure strategies tailored to the business needs and prospects, with a focus on compute and storage products, including but not limited to server, storage, and its components (e.g. CPU/GPU SSD, RAM, transceivers, etc) as well as associated software and licenses.
Conduct market research to advise on the infrastructure investment, purchase model, and relevant technologies to improve the performance, efficiency and the total cost of ownership based on the company's business strategy
Adopt industrial standards and best practices drive and govern related frameworks, SOPs and templates/checklists within the Infra team to optimize the organization's IT operations process.
Work with internal technical teams and external vendors on the Proof-of-Concept (POC) test and assist on the qualification process and requirement validation.
Lead the qualification, evaluation, selection, negotiation processes on commercial aspects.
Work with other stakeholders on delivery of service and post-sales support improvements.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in IT or engineering, or other relevant fields
Minimum 6 years of relevant full-time experience in computer and storage domain
Understanding of components, system constructs, high-level architecture, and use cases within Internet companies is preferred.
Market landscape knowledge is preferred
Proven working experience in the procurement capacity is an added advantage
Aptitude in working with numbers
Analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
