THE ROLE
The role is within the Strategy team at Temenos, reporting to a Strategy Director. The team works closely with Temenos senior management in formulating and delivering on customized business strategies to grow our top-line and transform our business. Projects cut across Growth Strategy, Product Strategy, Business unit / Regional Strategy, M&A, Investor Relations, Competitive response, Pricing, etc.
We are seeking an experienced (2 years+) Junior Associate / Associate (McKinsey) or Associate / Consultant (BCG / Bain) or equivalent from other top tier Strategy Consulting firm. Knowledge and interest in Banking / Technology in financial services will be highly beneficial for this role.
The candidate will be expected to be a high-performing and independent contributor, working closely with many stakeholders across regions, product lines and functions.
OPPORTUNITES
- The role offers full breadth of Corporate Strategy, allowing you to develop comprehensive commercial consulting skills and will teach you to run and grow a technology company
- You will develop banking market and competitive insights & implications for the company at regional & central level, through data analysis and research and by speaking to Clients, Partners, Investors, experts and internal stakeholders
- You will develop market entry, market expansion, product, and turnaround strategies.
- You will work with cross functional teams (Product, Sales, Pre-Sales, Marketing etc.) and regions to formulate Go-to-Market strategies (E.g. Corporate Lending, Banking-as-a-Service).
- You will devise competitor specific strategies (Product-market fit, Partnerships, Deal execution, etc.) to improve win-rate
- You will distil insights and develop recommendations to feed into Product Strategy and roadmap
- You will drive/support special projects as and when commissioned by the ExCo e.g. Strategic Fit assessments for M&A, targeted growth initiatives undefined
Skills
- You should possess proven analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
- You should have the ability to independently execute hypothesis driven analysis and storylines.
- You should have outstanding written and verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skills particularly in translating complex data into simple, compelling messages / impactful insights.
- You should have the ability to collaborate effectively within the team and across functions, and build positive relationships with different business partners to achieve results.
- You should enjoy working under pressure to deliver on time with a high level of integrity, sense of urgency, attention to detail and high quality standards
- You should have the following specific technical skills:
- Market / industry analysis within Banking and Financial Services (preferred, not mandatory)
- Consulting toolkit (structuring, story lining, hypothesis driven problem solving, etc.)
- Market sizing
- Excel / data modelling / PowerPoint

Pre-requisites To Apply
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience at a top-tier Strategy Consulting firm (i.e. McKinsey, Bain or Boston Consulting Group) within the Consulting/Partner track.
- This role is not for those close to making Project Leader / Engagement Manager
- Past experience within Banking at these firms or prior work experience in Banking (Product, Sales, Technology Business analyst) or Technology a strong advantage
Education
- Undergraduate degree in engineering or business
- Master's degree in Management or other business related area.
