about the job
They are seeking a sourcing expert who excels in negotiation and takes pride in their work. This role involves identifying, evaluating, and managing suppliers to ensure top performance in terms of quality, cost, and delivery.
- Build and manage a strong global supplier base for optical components.
- Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to inform sourcing strategies.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and agreements with both local and international vendors.
- Lead cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and performance.
- Ensure supply chain stability by managing risk, optimizing inventory, and reducing lead times.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance and New Product Introduction (NPI), to ensure alignment and compliance.
- Monitor and improve supplier performance using key metrics like On-Time Delivery (OTD) and quality.
skills and experience required
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Optics, Physics, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in sourcing or procurement, with a preference for backgrounds in optics, precision manufacturing, or high-tech industries.
- A strong grasp of optical components, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Proven expertise in negotiation and managing a global supplier base.
