THE ROLE:

• Responsible to enable Datacenter GPU test capabilities at Board Contract Manufacturer or AMD Labs and Data center RMA services
• Responsible for managing test servers for Air Cool (AC) or Direct Liquid Cool system (DLC)
• Responsible for developing a global procurement strategy that has an integrated long-term approach on cost, quality, and supply
• Responsible for developing and managing the strategic supplier relationship at Executive level
• Provide analytical support and make recommendations regarding sourcing strategies, supply trend, allocation and splitting of business award

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Working and influencing key stakeholders to design platforms that can meet product launch schedules
• Collaborate with Test Design Engineering and BAE (Beyond ASIC Engineering) teams to proactively ensure AMD next generation designs meet supply requirements
• Drive meetings with various AMD teams (SCO, GOQ, DCGPU etc) to ensure alignment on test capacity meeting demand and all deliverables
• Manage Testers suppliers or board contract manufacturers to ensure Test capability is ready on time to support production ramp
• Source & Manage tester/server, CDU equipment, or related test peripheral
• Negotiate key commodities we wish to control/consign, or which significantly influence BOM pricing
• Sourcing support for Datacenter RMA projects from RFI to vendor awards and contract
• Manage, negotiate Procurement Contracts

• Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
• Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
• Network with key contacts outside own area of expertise
• Determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel as a team lead

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Prior Sourcing experiences with some technical knowledge of CDU/Test equipment/peripherals commodities and Procurement Contract management
• Experience in Program Management roles
• NAPM/APICS Certification highly desired
• Must have good understanding of global/regional markets and cultures for Datacenter GPU
• Demonstrated effective advanced computer skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal & leadership skills
• History of successfully developing and deploying business processes

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• BS/BA degree plus 3-5 years of experience in electro-mechanical field OR MBA plus 3 years of experience in electro-mechanical related field
