Role Summary
The Strategic Sourcing Manager - Facilities & Opex (APAC) is an individual contributor role responsible for executing and operationalizing the Corporate Global Workplace Infrastructure (GWI) Category Strategy for General Facilities and Operating Expenses (Opex) across the APAC region. The role focuses on strengthening site-level coverage, driving consistency and standardization, and improving transparency and resiliency across critical facilities services.
This position partners closely with regional site teams and corporate stakeholders to ensure disciplined sourcing execution, effective supplier management, and robust governance aligned to global playbooks, while remaining responsive to local operational needs.
General Duties
. Execute sourcing and supplier management activities for General Facilities and Facilities-related Opex categories across APAC in alignment with corporate procurement and GWI strategies.
. Provide day-to-day sourcing, contracting, and commercial support to site and regional facilities teams.
. Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for facilities services sourcing, supporting consistent execution across multiple countries and sites.
. Maintain sourcing documentation, contracts, pricing records, and audit-ready files in accordance with corporate governance standards.
Category Strategy Execution (Facilities & Opex)
. Execute the Corporate GWI Category Strategy for General Facilities and Opex services across APAC.
. Translate global category strategies, standards, and playbooks into practical regional and site-level execution.
. Support multi-year category roadmaps covering facilities management, soft services, hard services, utilities-related Opex, and other critical site services.
. Identify regional market dynamics, cost drivers, and risks impacting facilities Opex performance.
Site Coverage & SME Support
. Strengthen site-level sourcing and supplier management coverage across APAC facilities portfolios.
. Provide hands-on SME support to site facilities teams on sourcing strategy, supplier selection, commercial terms, and performance management.
. Enable consistent application of sourcing processes, tools, templates, and governance across all supported sites.
. Support onboarding and capability uplift of regional and site stakeholders on global sourcing standards and expectations.
Supplier Management, Contracts & Performance
. Standardize supplier management approaches, contracts, SLAs, and KPIs across facilities and Opex categories using the global GWI playbook.
. Support development and maintenance of regional and site-level master service agreements, rate cards, and service catalogs.
. Maintain supplier scorecards, monitor KPIs, and track performance trends across cost, service quality, safety, and compliance.
. Drive corrective action plans and performance improvement initiatives with suppliers in collaboration with site teams.
Resiliency & Risk Management
. Drive resiliency strategies for critical facilities services, including dual-sourcing and contingency planning.
. Identify single-source risks, capacity constraints, and supplier dependencies across the APAC region.
. Partner with regional stakeholders to develop mitigation plans for supply continuity, service reliability, and operational risk.
Spend Visibility & Analytics
. Improve visibility into facilities and Opex spend across APAC through structured reporting and analytics.
. Analyze Opex cost drivers, supplier pricing structures, and consumption patterns.
. Develop dashboards and reports to track spend, savings, performance, and risk for category leaders and stakeholders.
. Partner with Finance to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis related to facilities Opex.
Governance, Compliance & Standardization
. Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies, internal controls, and commercial governance requirements.
. Enforce consistent use of approved suppliers, contracts, SLAs, and KPIs across sites.
. Support harmonization of facilities sourcing and supplier management under a unified regional operating model.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
. Partner closely with Facilities, GWI, Site Operations, EH&S, Finance, Legal, and regional leadership teams.
. Act as the primary sourcing interface for facilities-related Opex topics in APAC.
. Represent sourcing in regional reviews, operational meetings, and governance forums.
Required Qualifications
. 7+ years of sourcing, procurement, or category management experience, preferably within facilities management, services sourcing, or Opex-driven categories.
. Strong experience in supplier management, contract negotiation, SLA/KPI development, and performance management.
. Demonstrated ability to execute global category strategies within a regional or multi-country environment.
. Strong analytical skills with experience in spend analysis, cost modeling, and performance reporting.
. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across geographies and balance global standards with local requirements.
. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
