Job Description
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies across key MRO and industrial product categories to improve profitability and supply competitiveness.
- Lead commercial negotiations with strategic suppliers, securing favourable pricing, rebate structures and long-term partnership agreements.
- Drive supplier performance management initiatives, including business reviews, risk assessments and continuous improvement programmes.
- Partner closely with Sales, Supply Chain and Operations teams to align sourcing strategies with business growth objectives and customer requirements.
- Identify and deliver cost savings, margin enhancement and working capital improvement opportunities through strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Lead sourcing transformation and process optimisation projects, introducing best practices and governance frameworks across the organisation.
- Manage, coach and develop a team of sourcing professionals while providing strategic direction for category and supplier management activities.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or related discipline
- Proven experience in strategic sourcing, procurement or category management within industrial, engineering, manufacturing or distribution environments
- Experience managing supplier relationships, commercial negotiations and sourcing programmes
- Strong leadership experience with the ability to develop and coach teams
- Demonstrated success in delivering cost savings and margin improvement initiatives
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience working across multiple business functions
- Excellent analytical, project management and problem-solving capabilities
- Understanding of financial performance drivers, including profitability and working capital management
- Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies or certification in Six Sigma Black Belt would be advantageous
