Job Description

Shopee International Platform (SIP) maximises assortment availability for buyers across all local markets and supports local sellers and brands in growing into global sellers and brands with Shopee. The team spans all business sub-functions, including Commercial, Operations, Financial Planning and Analytics, and Strategic Projects. You will be part of an entrepreneurial and collaborative team aiming to deliver high strategic impact across Shopee local markets, cross-border selling and infrastructure, commercial growth, operational excellence, and platform-level business and capability development.

As a Strategic Projects Manager, you will drive end-to-end strategic projects that enable our cross-border export business to scale. Typical projects include strategic planning, market research, market entry and expansion, growth initiatives, user journey studies, and seller programme design and optimisation.

Job Description

  • Lead multiple end-to-end projects, from scoping to execution and post-mortem, to drive cross-border seller growth from origin markets to other Shopee markets.
  • Plan and manage project timelines, milestones, and resources, ensuring deliverables remain on track and stakeholders are aligned at each stage.
  • Conduct market and user research, including market sizing, competitive analysis, seller and buyer insights, and user journey studies, to identify opportunities and inform project direction.
  • Design and pilot new programmes, such as seller acquisition and incubation initiatives, content growth initiatives, and category-specific growth playbooks across multiple markets.
  • Develop market entry and growth strategies for priority categories and seller segments, working closely with local market teams to localise and execute plans.
  • Use data to drive decisions: analyse performance metrics, build dashboards or reports, and translate findings into actionable project recommendations and iterations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. Marketing, Operations, Product, Data Science, Finance, Legal, Government Relations) across regions to deliver project outcomes.
  • Manage stakeholders proactively, including preparing project updates, decision papers, and presentations for leadership and key partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Economics, Analytics, Engineering, or related disciplines
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in project management, consulting, strategy, or e-commerce/tech environments (cross-border or marketplace experience is a plus)
  • Demonstrated end-to-end project management experience, including scoping, planning, execution, risk management, and post-implementation review
  • Strong analytical skills with proven experience interpreting large or complex datasets to generate insights and recommendations
  • Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse teams and senior stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear project documents and compelling presentations
  • Comfortable working in a, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects concurrently and adapting quickly to changing priorities
