About The Team
The Corporate Development team acts as the central engine for Monee's most critical strategic growth initiatives. Our mission is to identify, evaluate, and execute high-impact opportunities that align with our mission, enhance our competitive positioning, and build long-term shareholder value. We operate as a lean, high-autonomy special projects unit. Unlike traditional support functions, we drive the PMO for complex, cross-functional programs, ranging from financial services licensing, M&A to large-scale regulatory, compliance implementation and corporate restructuring.
We are looking for a highly analytical, commercially driven leader to own the execution of group-level strategic projects. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced professional from consulting, investment banking, or fintech strategy to shape the future of our digital financial services across the region and operate at the highest levels of the business.
Job Description
- Lead end-to-end execution of high-priority strategic initiatives, including M&A due diligence and post-merger integration, financial licensing and regulatory strategy, and new market entry.
- Conduct deep-dive market research and competitive analysis to identify strategic opportunities, building robust business cases and valuation models for senior leadership and Board approval.
- Manage cross-functional stakeholders (Legal, Risk, Business, Finance, GR) to ensure seamless delivery of complex projects, acting as the primary driver to remove blockers and enforce accountability.
- Lead corporate restructuring initiatives, including legal entity consolidation, tax-optimized business transfers, and the design of new holding structures to enable independent operational self-sufficiency.
- Develop and refine operating models and organizational structures to support scalable growth and complex R&D initiatives across ASEAN markets.
- Prepare executive-level presentations and board materials, synthesizing complex data and deal mechanics into clear, actionable insights for decision-making.
- Monitor and report on key strategic metrics, providing regular updates to senior management on project health, risks, and milestones.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA desirable.
- Experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate development, or strategic planning; prior experience in financial services (banking/fintech) is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of managing and owning complex, multi-workstream projects with ambiguous requirements and tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to drive results and influence cross-functional stakeholders (Legal, Risk, Product, Tech) without direct line authority. You can navigate organizational ambiguity to secure buy-in and clear blockers.
- Strong financial acumen, including the ability to interpret financial statements, build valuation models, and assess commercial viability (e.g., deal analysis and M&A comparisons).
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to C-suite executives, Board members, and external partners.
- High degree of integrity, discretion, and professionalism when handling highly sensitive and confidential strategic information.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (financial modeling), PowerPoint/Google Slides, and data visualization tools, coupled with a performance-driven work ethic.
- Demonstrated ability in leveraging AI tools (LLMs, prompt engineering, or automation agents) to accelerate research, drafting, and project management.
