About the Opportunity

Our client is a well-established organisation seeking an experienced procurement professional to drive strategic sourcing, supplier management, tender governance, and contract management initiatives across a diverse portfolio of operational services and projects.

This role offers the opportunity to partner closely with business stakeholders, influence commercial decisions, optimise procurement outcomes, and contribute directly to organisational performance through effective sourcing and vendor management strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end procurement activities across multiple spend categories, including sourcing strategy development, spend analysis, and procurement planning.
  • Manage supplier relationships throughout the vendor lifecycle, including sourcing, evaluation, onboarding, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive cost optimisation and value creation through strategic sourcing, commercial negotiations, benchmarking, and market analysis.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop effective procurement solutions that balance cost, quality, and operational needs.
  • Manage formal sourcing exercises including RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, and tender processes, ensuring robust evaluation and governance practices.
  • Lead contract negotiations and contract lifecycle management, ensuring commercial value, risk mitigation, and compliance with organisational policies.
  • Analyse pricing models and total cost of ownership (TCO) to support informed procurement decisions.
  • Monitor supplier performance against agreed service levels and key performance indicators, addressing performance gaps proactively.
  • Ensure procurement activities are conducted in accordance with internal governance requirements and industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of procurement, strategic sourcing, contracts management, or tender management experience.
  • Strong experience managing sourcing exercises, commercial negotiations, and supplier relationships.
  • Familiarity with procurement governance, tender processes, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience using e-tendering platforms and procurement systems will be advantageous.
  • Exposure to service procurement, project-based procurement, facilities-related procurement, construction, engineering, healthcare, or similar operational environments will be highly regarded.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret commercial and pricing data.
