Introduction to the Role
A leading social media and technology company is seeking a Strategic Partner Manager (SPM) to develop and maintain relationships with key developer partners in the gaming industry, with a focus on the Vietnam market. The ideal candidate will drive platform adoption, support partner growth, and act as a strategic consultant to gaming developers across mobile, instant, and cloud gaming platforms.
Responsibilities
- Relationship Management: Maintain a portfolio of approximately 10 strategic partners, ensuring developer satisfaction and driving performance growth in revenue and user acquisition.
- Platform Adoption: Drive adoption of gaming platforms, including mobile SDK, instant games, and cloud games.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Product, and Marketing teams to address market gaps and pilot new features.
- Strategic Consulting: Advise existing partners on monetisation strategies and approaches to grow gamer engagement and uptake.
- Market Support: Travel approximately 25% of the time, primarily to Vietnam, to provide on-the-ground support to developers.
Requirements
- 6 or more years of experience in business development, account management, or game operations.
- Deep understanding of the gaming industry and internet landscape.
- Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of management.
- Business fluency in English and Vietnamese is required. This role involves managing strategic partnerships with gaming developers in the Vietnam market, including direct engagement and communication with Vietnamese-speaking partners and stakeholders. Therefore, proficiency in Vietnamese is essential to perform the core functions of this role effectively.
