Job Description

Purpose of the role:

The Strategic Insights Manager APAC will shape, lead and deliver the transformational Strategic Insights agenda across the APAC region including relevant commercial priorities, in line with the Evergreen 2030 strategy. This role will take a strategic approach to all topics including those related to Category Growth & Performance, Brands, and Innovation.

Roles & responsibilities:

  • To design and deliver an Insight agenda in the APAC region leading to consumer inspired growth, in collaboration with Senior regional stakeholders.

▪ Define and execute a future focused insight and learning plan for the defined region which identifies and answers the big questions which will unlock future growth, inc. Category growth & performance and deep consumer understanding

▪ Become the business expert on the Category and Consumer/Shopper insight associated with the region including consumer & shopper drivers, needs, unmet needs, compromises etc.

  • To put Strategic Insight at the heart of our category, segment, brand and trade marketing efforts across the region and in OpCos to drive a step change in output

▪ Fully integrate deep consumer/shopper understanding and insight into the heart of the Commercial activity in the region, acting in partnership with regional colleagues and OpCos

  • Lead the Insights design and delivery for the Global Tiger® brand.
  • Undertake any ad hoc research or analysis needed to support key regional commercial initiatives, in line with EverGreen 2030 priorities
  • Build strong CMI capability within the region including managing the function through any future development and lead the APAC CMI community.

▪ Ensure CMI capability in the region is maximised in line with the required delivery of EverGreen 2030 strategy priorities

▪ Ensure full deployment or any key Insight developments e.g. Insight engine

  • Flexible cross-team working: Work as required across different commercial work areas outside allocated region, in line with business needs, and demonstrating flexibility to support evolving business priorities. Work with other strategic insights managers to ensure all work is synergistic with no overlap.

Key Experiences & Profile:

  • What: Education: University level
  • Work experience: At least 10 + years
  • Required work experience in field of expertise: Consumer insight, Category & Commercial Insight, Strategic Planning, working on Brands and Innovation at global FMCG organizations
  • Other fields of expertise: Strong OpCo experience in significant scale OpCo environment, Cross-functional working, OpCo and above OpCo (Global or Regional) experience
  • Functional skills: All elements of CMI. Strategic Planning capability. Work on Brands and Innovation. Broad Commercial understanding.
  • Languages: English
