Role Overview
The Strategic Insights team within Group Human Resources is responsible for translating workforce data into evidence for executive and Board-level decision-making. The Intern will support the full analytical cycle — from data preparation and analysis through to the presentation of findings to senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting (Power BI, Excel) covering core workforce metrics
- Extract, clean and structure HR datasets, including headcount, attrition, engagement and survey data
- Support the design, administration and analysis of employee surveys, including pulse and effectiveness instruments
- Prepare written summaries, visualisations and presentation materials for senior management and Board reporting
- Contribute to the interpretation of findings, including the identification of trends, outliers and recommended actions
- Conduct ad-hoc research and external benchmarking on workforce and human capital trends
Qualifications and Requirements
- Current undergraduate, or final-year polytechnic student, in a quantitative or analytical discipline (e.g. Business Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Information Systems)
- Proficient in use of analytical tools e.g. Microsoft Excel, Power BI. Working knowledge of Python or R is advantageous
- Sound written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present analytical findings clearly to non-technical audiences
- Strong attention to detail and intellectual curiosity
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential employee data with discretion and professionalism
Duration and Commitment
- Undergraduate track: four (4) months, full-time, with the possibility of extension
- Polytechnic track: minimum six (6) months, full-time, with the possibility of extension
