About this role
This is an exciting opportunity to embark on a transformative journey, leading and shaping JADE's Policy & Institutions pillar.
Working closely with the CEO, the Strategic Initiatives Manager will translate JADE's strategic vision into well-designed, high-impact dialogues and convenings that bring together private capital leaders, policymakers, and other key stakeholders. As a core member of the Strategic Initiatives (SI) unit, the role combines strategic thinking, partner engagement, research, and hands-on project execution, with a strong focus on delivery quality and measurable impact.
Responsibilities include:
JADE Project Management - 70%
Drive JADE Convenings & Initiatives - Policy & Institutions pillar
- Advance the strategic development and refinement of JADE's Policy & Institutions programs.
- Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of JADE convenings and initiatives.
- Manage agendas, timelines, communications, and logistics, including liaison with senior-level participants, their offices, local hosts, expert partners, and event vendors.
- Ensure initiatives align with JADE's mission and priorities, while identifying opportunities for synergy and collaboration.
- Monitor project timelines, milestones, and budgets to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
- Ensure efficient use of project budgets and effective management of SI initiative resources.
- Coordinate regular project updates and communications with partners and stakeholders in close collaboration with the CEO.
Lead the development of JADE's Impact Framework and Stakeholder Intelligence.
- Design and manage CRM tools to track follow-up actions, commitments, and outcomes from JADE dialogues.
- Analyze engagement and outcome data to assess impact and inform continuous improvement.
- Build, maintain, and manage the CRM system supporting the Policy & Institutions pillar, ensuring accurate stakeholder records and follow-up.
Stakeholders and Partners Coordination & Communications - 20%
- Support effective and professional engagement with partners, institutional collaborators, and senior stakeholders.
- Maintain and update stakeholder databases, invitations, and post-event follow-ups.
- Ensure high-touch, timely, and consistent correspondence before and after convenings.
Strategic Support to CEO - 10%
- Partner closely with the CEO as a strategic thought partner for Policy & Institutions pillar.
- Provide insights from project delivery and impact tracking to inform programmatic strategy.
- Undertake other Strategic Initiative unit related activities as required to support the CEO and JADE's organizational objectives.
Qualifications and experience
Essential
- Bachelor's degree in public policy, government, international relations, economics, sustainability, or a related field.
- 57 years of relevant experience with a track record of engaging with government agencies/multilateral bodies or related policy sectors with working knowledge of energy or climate-aligned policies.
- Proven ability to independently manage projects end to end, including planning, execution, timelines, and budgets, particularly for high-level convenings or structured stakeholder engagement.
- Experience producing senior-level, private events or dialogues, with strong attention to hospitality, discretion, and alignment of event design with strategic objectives.
- Experience using or managing tracking tools, dashboards, or CRM systems to monitor stakeholder engagement and outcomes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience engaging mid- to senior-level financial stakeholders and collaborating effectively within small teams.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment, while staying aligned with strategic priorities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to track outcomes, assess impact, and measure success.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required (typically 510% annually).
Desired
- Master's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Deep familiarity with climate and energy negotiations in bilateral and multilateral fora (UNFCCC, G7/G20, ASEAN, OECD, etc.)
- Knowledge of Asia-Pacific investment landscapes and experience working across borders and sectors in the region.
- Project management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2).
- Experience in a leadership role within a start-up or in building and scaling a new initiative, program, or platform.

- Preferably based in Seoul, Beijing, Tokyo, Jakarta, Bangkok, Singapore.
Other Information
This is a remote-working position. The role involves considerable international travel, and working with multiple time zones for internal and external online calls and meetings. Mutual flexibility of working hours will be expected and provided, to meet these needs while ensuring a sustainable work-life balance.
This is a contractor role. The fee is inclusive of all local taxes, social security contributions, and health insurance, which remain the responsibility of the contractor. JADE Dialogues does not provide relocation or visa support for this role.

- Compensation of USD 50,000 - 68,000 per annum (Gross) determined according to the local job market of the candidate's working location, work experience, and qualifications.
