Position Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Financial Advisory Manager to join the CFO Office. This role combines Strategic Finance, Business Intelligence, FP&A, and M&A Advisory, providing data-driven insights and financial guidance to support executive decision-making and business growth.
The successful candidate will lead management reporting, business analytics, financial planning, and M&A initiatives while working closely with senior management across multiple business units. The role requires a strong understanding of financial modelling, SaaS metrics, business performance analysis, and transaction execution.
Prior experience with a HKEX-listed company and/or M&A transactions is required. Experience in SaaS, FinTech, RegTech, or technology-driven businesses is highly preferred. Exposure to US GAAP, IPO readiness, or listed company reporting will be considered a strong advantage.
Job Description
Strategic Finance & Business Intelligence
- Lead the development and maintenance of management dashboards, business intelligence reports, and KPI monitoring frameworks.
- Analyze business performance across customers, products, regions, industries, and sales channels to identify growth opportunities and operational improvements.
- Develop recurring management reporting packages for senior management and shareholders.
- Monitor and analyze key business metrics, including revenue growth, customer acquisition, retention, profitability, and operational efficiency.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analyses, and Plan-versus-Actual reporting.
- Conduct revenue, cash flow, working capital, and profitability analyses.
- Monitor and analyze SaaS and recurring revenue metrics, including ARR, MRR, churn, customer lifetime value (LTV), and deferred revenue.
- Support pricing strategies, contract structuring, and commercial decision-making through financial modelling and scenario analysis.
M&A Advisory & Corporate Development
- Identify, evaluate, and assess potential acquisition, investment, and strategic partnership opportunities.
- Build financial models, valuation analyses, investment memoranda, and transaction materials for management review.
- Support transaction execution, including due diligence, financial analysis, negotiation support, and coordination with external advisors.
- Prepare business cases and strategic assessments for investment and acquisition opportunities.
- Assist with post-merger integration planning and performance monitoring.
- Maintain and manage the M&A pipeline and provide regular updates to senior management.
Management Reporting & Business Partnering
- Partner with Sales, Operations, Product, Compliance, and Finance teams to drive performance improvement initiatives.
- Provide financial and commercial analysis to support key business decisions, new product launches, and market expansion strategies.
- Review business performance, customer profitability, and resource allocation to improve operational effectiveness.
- Ensure management reports, forecasts, and financial analyses are accurate, timely, and decision-useful.
- Present financial insights and strategic recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders.
Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, FP&A, corporate finance, transaction advisory, or business analytics, preferably within SaaS, RegTech, FinTech, or other technology-driven businesses.
- Proven ability to build dashboards, financial models, and multi-dimensional business analyses.
- Strong understanding of HKFRS, SFRS, and IFRS, with hands-on experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting. Experience with Singapore statutory reporting is an advantage.
- Proven M&A transaction experience, including deal sourcing, financial modelling, valuation, due diligence, transaction execution, and post-deal performance analysis.
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
