Job Description

We are seeking a Strategic Communications Manager to drive communication strategies that strengthen corporate reputation, shape narratives and deliver data-driven insights to support business objectives. This role will lead media analysis, identify emerging trends and translate insights into actionable communication strategies while partnering closely with business and leadership stakeholders.

What You'll Do

Strategic Communications & Corporate Narrative

  • Develop and execute strategic communication plans aligned with organisational priorities and business objectives
  • Shape and strengthen corporate messaging, positioning and reputation management initiatives
  • Support the development of key communication narratives and leadership messaging

Media Intelligence & Analytics

  • Monitor, analyse and interpret media trends, sentiment and stakeholder perceptions across traditional and digital channels
  • Generate actionable insights through media analytics and reporting to support decision-making
  • Identify emerging issues, reputational risks and opportunities proactively

Stakeholder & Media Engagement

  • Build and maintain relationships with media partners and internal stakeholders
  • Support media engagement strategies, communication campaigns and issue management activities
  • Work closely with business teams to ensure communication initiatives are aligned and impactful

Content Development

  • Develop communication materials including press releases, speeches, key messages, articles and corporate communications content
  • Ensure consistency of messaging across communication channels

Requirements

  • Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Mass Communications or related disciplines
  • Approximately 5–8 years of experience in strategic communications, corporate communications, media relations or related fields
  • Strong experience in media monitoring, media intelligence and analysis of communication trends and stakeholder sentiment
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex topics into compelling narratives
  • Experience in managing stakeholders across different levels
  • Candidates with journalism backgrounds who have transitioned into corporate communications are welcome
  • Candidates from Stat Boards, government agencies or regulated industries with exposure to strategic communications and media analytics will be advantageous
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights from data and trends
