Job Description

Role overview: The Strategic Communications Associate Lead will support the organisation's goals by embedding communication insights into the strategic organizational planning and processes. This includes leading the planning, creation, and delivery of internal and external communications across channels such as social media, newsletters, websites, intranet, media relations, executive communications and corporate announcements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review our processes, products and interactions with external stakeholders through a communications lens to identify core organisation vulnerabilities, key strengths and uncover new opportunities to protect the organisation's key interests
  • Collect and analyse relevant data to create management dashboard for evaluation of strategic risks in communications
  • Develop and implement integrated communication strategies and polices that drive organisation strategic priorities, and stakeholder engagement priorities.
  • Ensure consistent, impactful external messaging across all engagement platforms

What you will be working on

Engineering trust into the research lifecycle and participant experience

  • Strengthen RySense's perceived independence & neutrality through various touchpoints
  • Lead the development of metrics to monitor public trust in RySense and track risks
  • Develop and implement organisation policies where needed
  • Lead crisis communication

Communications strategy

  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategic communications plans that align with organisational goals and to enhance RySense's brand identity across various internal and external touchpoints
  • Create clear, compelling messaging for internal and external audiences, including employees, media, partners and general public.

Content creation and digital publishing

  • Lead and coordinate with subject matter experts and designer to create and curate compelling, platform-specific content including social media posts, articles, press releases and internal communications (monthly staff bulletin, intranet etc.)
  • Develop and implement digital publishing strategies to expand online content reach, maximise visibility and increase followers
  • Responsible for updating of RySense online content and SEO optimisation

Media monitoring and analytics

  • Monitor real-time media mentions on all socials and public media platforms via appointed media monitoring agency
  • Lead the bi-annual sourcing and appointment of media monitoring agency exercise
  • Monitor social conversations about RySense and our business units, proactively addressing misinformation and amplifying positive feedback
  • Monitor, evaluate and report on communication effectiveness using key performance metrics (reach, engagement, growth)
  • Leverage data analytics to provide actionable insights and recommendations to optimise communication initiatives and continuously refine communication strategies
  • Continuously explore and experiment with innovative content formats, AI related comms and design tools and engagement strategies

Corporate events

  • Lead the management of organisation wide events and senior management retreat, including venue sourcing, liaising, F&B etc
  • Provide on-site assistance for specific VIP events

Employer branding

  • Develop compelling employer branding content that attracts top talent and showcases organisational excellence

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • Around 5 years of experience in strategic communications, public relations, media relations, marketing communications, or a related role
  • Experience in comms-led risk management, reputational management and crisis comms will be advantageous
  • Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills
  • Possess an eye for detail in content development and design
  • Proficient with digital marketing tools (eg: Canva, Adobe) social media management, analytics, and content management platforms
