Our client is hiring a Strategic Commodity Management Manager / Senior Manager to drive sourcing strategy across critical supply chain categories in a fast-scaling manufacturing environment.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution and can build strong supplier relationships while leading through growth and complexity.
The role
- Develop and execute commodity strategies
- Negotiate pricing and support cost modelling
- Identify and qualify new sources of supply
- Lead long-term capacity planning
- Partner closely with operational teams to refine strategy based on supply realities
- Manage supplier performance and mitigate risk early
- Lead and coach a small team in a global, cross-functional environment
Candidate profile
- 5–10 years of relevant supply chain / commodity management experience
- Experience in areas such as sheet metal, cables, electrical boxes, machining, or similar transferable categories
- Background in semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, electronics, OEM, EMS, or a related environment
- Strong supplier management and sourcing capability
- Hands-on style with strong attention to detail
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Prior people leadership experience, or clear readiness to step into a team leadership role
