Job Description - Stores Supervisor

Position Overview
The Stores Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily store operations in a wholesale environment. This role ensures smooth inventory flow, maintains store organization, supports customer orders, and supervises a small team to achieve efficient and accurate store performance. A valid driving licence will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
1. Store Operations & Supervision
- Manage daily operations of the wholesale store.
- Supervise store assistants, packers, and loaders.
- Ensure all store activities run efficiently and safely.
2. Inventory Management
- Monitor stock levels and check product expiry dates.
- Coordinate stock replenishment, receiving, unloading, and storage of goods.
- Conduct regular stock-take and maintain accurate inventory records.
3. Order Processing & Customer Service
- Prepare, pick, and pack wholesale orders accurately.
- Assist walk-in customers and business clients.
- Handle customer queries and resolve simple issues promptly.
4. Store Maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store.
- Ensure proper labelling and arrangement of products.
- Report faulty equipment or safety hazards.
5. Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate deliveries with drivers and logistics team.
- Prepare basic daily/weekly reports for management.
Requirements
- Prior experience in retail or wholesale store operations is preferred.
- Strong organizational and supervisory skills.
- Physically demanding to carry carton boxes when needed.
- Able to work independently with a positive attitude.
- Basic computer knowledge (inventory system or Excel).
- Possessing a valid driving licence will be an advantage.
