Job Summary:
The Fashion Retail Store Manager is responsible for the overall performance and daily operations of the store. This role leads the retail team, delivers an excellent customer experience, achieves sales targets, manages inventory, and ensures the store consistently reflects the brand's image and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily store operations, including opening/closing, cash handling, and store security.
- Lead, motivate, coach, and develop the sales team to achieve individual and store targets.
- Drive sales performance through effective merchandising, customer service, and sales strategies.
- Monitor KPIs such as sales, conversion rate, average transaction value, and customer traffic.
- Deliver an exceptional and consistent customer experience.
- Maintain high standards of visual merchandising, store presentation, and brand guidelines.
- Manage stock levels, replenishment, stock transfers, and inventory accuracy.
- Monitor product performance and identify opportunities to improve sales.
- Prepare staff schedules and manage attendance, leave, and manpower requirements.
- Train and mentor new retail staff on product knowledge and customer service skills to build team capability
- Handle customer feedback, complaints, and service recovery professionally.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and health and safety requirements.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and operational reports.
- Work closely with the head-office teams on promotions and campaigns.
- Control store expenses and minimize stock loss, damage, and operational wastage.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of retail experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role, preferably within the fashion retail industry
- Strong sales, customer service, and people-management skills
- Good understanding of visual merchandising and fashion retail trends
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable working with sales targets and performance KPIs
- Proficient in basic Microsoft Office and retail/POS systems
- Able to work retail hours, weekends, and public holidays as required.
