Job Overview:
The Store Driver is responsible for the safe and timely collection, delivery, loading, and unloading of materials and equipment required for company operations. The role also supports store and logistics activities, ensuring materials are transported accurately, safely, and efficiently while maintaining proper documentation and vehicle condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors, suppliers, and designated locations.
- Deliver materials and equipment to project sites, clients, or other locations as assigned.
- Load and unload materials safely, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Assist with packing, sorting, and organizing materials in the store when required.
- Verify quantities and condition of materials during collection and delivery.
- Ensure all delivery orders, purchase orders, and related documents are properly acknowledged and submitted.
- Maintain cleanliness and good working condition of company vehicles.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any defects, maintenance issues, or accidents immediately.
- Support stock movement and inventory-related activities within the store.
- Follow all traffic regulations, company safety policies, and operational procedures.
- Provide transportation support for staff, equipment, and materials as required.
- Perform ad-hoc driving, delivery, and store-related duties assigned by supervisors or management.
Requirements
- Possess a valid Singapore Class 3 driving licence (or relevant licence required by the company).
- Good driving record with a strong commitment to road safety.
- Physically fit and able to perform loading and unloading activities.
- Basic knowledge of Singapore roads and routes.
- Able to work independently and manage delivery schedules efficiently.
- Responsible, punctual, and reliable.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Previous experience in driving, logistics, warehouse, or store operations will be an advantage.
Working Conditions
- Required to travel to various locations for collection and delivery of materials.
- May be required to carry and move materials of varying weights.
- Outdoor work may be required when loading, unloading, and delivering materials.
