Job Description

Job Title: Storage Support Engineer

Experience: 3+ Years

Location: Bangalore

Work Mode: Work from Office

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Storage Support Engineer to join a global technical support environment supporting enterprise customers worldwide.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in enterprise storage troubleshooting, SAN technologies, and storage infrastructure, along with working knowledge of operating systems, virtualization, and networking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for enterprise storage environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve storage and SAN-related incidents within defined SLAs.
  • Analyze storage performance, connectivity, availability, and configuration issues.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to SAN, storage arrays, LUNs, Fibre Channel, and iSCSI.
  • Investigate incidents across storage, servers, operating systems, virtualization, and networking environments.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and provide appropriate issue resolution.
  • Manage and track customer incidents from identification through resolution.
  • Handle technical escalations and collaborate with L3/product engineering teams when required.
  • Communicate effectively with global customers and provide regular updates on incidents.
  • Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and technical findings.
  • Work in a 24x7 global support environment and adhere to defined SLAs and support processes.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in Enterprise Storage / Storage Support / SAN Support.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise storage concepts and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with SAN technologies.
  • Knowledge of Fibre Channel, iSCSI, LUNs, HBA, multipathing, zoning, etc.
  • Working knowledge of at least one operating system such as Linux or Windows Server.
  • Working knowledge of VMware/virtualization environments.
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of networking and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and customer-handling skills.
  • Experience working in an L2 support/escalation environment.
