Main Duties and Responsibilities
We are seeking a passionate culinary professional to join our team as our Stewarding Supervisor.
As the Stewarding Supervisor, you will lead a team of stewards to maintain the cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of all kitchens and back-of-house areas. You will be responsible for supervising daily operations, ensuring adherence to safety and sanitation standards, and supporting the teams in delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate stewarding staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations in kitchens, dishwashing areas, and equipment storage zones.
- Maintain the highest hygiene standards as per NEA and HACCP regulations and resort policies.
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of dishwashing machines, waste management systems, and cleaning equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, pantries, and storage rooms.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and tools place requisitions in a timely manner.
- Support the Executive Steward in training and developing team members on cleaning protocols, chemical handling, and sustainability practices.
- Schedule shifts and delegate responsibilities to stewarding team members.
- Collaborate with culinary and service teams to support smooth kitchen operations during service and events.
- Drive eco-friendly and sustainable initiatives in waste reduction, recycling, and water conservation.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety and health regulations and participate in safety audits.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in stewarding or kitchen operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen sanitation standards and cleaning procedures.
- Ability to lead a team effectively and work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
