Who We Are

Wavesparks empowers Generation Z founders to build world-changing ventures. We provide top-tier, global startup hub standards, end-to-end accelerator programsfrom zero to one startup launch education and mentorship to global networking and funding access tailored specifically for youth founders and youth-led startups.

We leverage on our founders, partners, and mentors backgrounds leading global startup and innovation programs at 500 Global, as well as experience in startups, investments, business, and finance to bring Silicon Valley accelerator standards to youth in Asia.

Beyond supporting individual youth, Wavesparks partners with government agencies and ecosystem builders to design and run accelerators, bootcamps, and workshops, sparking vibrant tech startup communities driven by innovators.Our flagship pre-accelerator program is the Young Founders Summit, a 6-month startup pre-accelerator program for 15-20 year olds across Greater Asia. We also powered the latest two seasons of Youth Action Challenge, a structured six-month programme that gives youths in Singapore the opportunity to act on their passions and co-create an inclusive, sustainable and progressive Singapore.

We have a unique whole-of-person approach to development, and also run other youth development programs such as the Wayfinder program, a program designed to help students develop lives of meaning and purpose.

Job Scope:

We are seeking a Startup Programs and Ecosystems Intern to support in the execution and expansion of our high-impact youth programs and events. In this role, you will be supporting the management of our programs and events and ensuring smooth operations. You will play a critical role in ensuring our programs not only run like clockwork, but that we are creating a great experience for our participants, and that we make an impact in their development and growth. The ideal candidate is someone who can think through multiple facets of running an event (contingency plans, timelines etc.), who cares about creating great immersive experiences and likes engaging with people.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in the entrepreneurship and startup

ecosystem and gain invaluable insights into program management, while building a network with

expert mentors.

Essential Functions

• Support Program Delivery: Assist the team with all aspects of program execution to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Participant Outreach and Recruitment: Engage with potential applicants to attract and recruit high-potential participants for the programs and events.
• Applicant Support: Answer questions from applicants regarding program details and requirements.
• Event Planning and Execution: Assist in the preparation and delivery of workshops, conferences, Demo Days, and both virtual and in-person events.
• Cohort Communication: Draft and send regular emails to participants with updates, housekeeping information, upcoming events, new mentors, service offerings, and deadlines.
• Document Management: Update and maintain internal documents and tools to support regular reporting and program visibility.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with startups, partners, and vendors to ensure successful execution of program activities and events.

Minimum Qualifications

• Fluent in English.
• Curious and interested in entrepreneurship, technology, and startups.
• Coachable, adaptable, wants to learn, and not afraid to try out new things and new tools (yes - AI tools too).
• Has work authorization in Singapore. We do not sponsor work visas.

Wishlist Qualifications

• Experience managing events / programs / projects and engaging multiple stakeholders.
• Familiarity with project management tools to drive efficiency and execution.
• Entrepreneurial/startup experience.
• Enjoys creating content.

Internship Details

+ Actively looking for interns from now onwards

+ Open to internship periods between 2 - 6 months, with a preference for longer terms

+ Remote work primarily - though there are days when we have to be on-site for events and programming

+ This is a paid internship position
