Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design, architecture, and development of scalable, secure, and high-availability systems.
- Provide technical leadership to engineering teams: guide system decisions, review code, and uphold engineering standards.
- Mentor and coach engineers across levels, fostering growth and improving team capability.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Drive adoption of modern engineering practices including cloud-native architecture, CI/CD automation, IaC, and observability.
- Identify and address technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and long-term platform risks.
- Ensure systems meet best practices for security, reliability, maintainability, and compliance.
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
- 12+ years of software engineering experience with a strong track record of delivering complex systems at scale.
- Proven experience in technical leadership, system architecture, and guiding engineering teams.
- Strong proficiency in backend or full-stack development using languages like Java, Go, or Node.js.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices, API design, and event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS), Kubernetes, Docker, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
- Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases, data modelling, caching, and performance tuning.
- Well-versed in CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and production operations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to align stakeholders on technical decisions.
- Passion for engineering excellence, clean architecture, and building solutions for impact.
