About The Role - You Will
This is a role within the Total Rewards Services (TRS) team that sits in Global Total Rewards function. The team works closely with the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) such as Global Compensation, Executive Compensation, Sales Compensation, Global Benefits to provide operational and analytical support for various programs and ad hoc projects.
- A specialist member of the Market Intelligence team that ensures Seagate's competitiveness and provides stakeholders with the support to attract, retain and grow talents
- Part of the team that maintains the compensation related tables and compensation modules in SAP Success Factors.
- Participate in various global and local rewards survey submission, report extraction and data analysis. Example of surveys be Radford global survey, Mercer High Tech survey, local compensation surveys, etc.
- Provide operational support for various Global Total Rewards programs through policy governance, ensure adherence to project specifications, data collection and data analytics. Example of such programs are retention program, Spark Recognition program, total rewards programs communications, etc.
- Responsible for annual job benchmarking and providing support for the annual market pricing, pay planning and annual salary increase process.
- Responsible for developing the job description database, participating in the development and maintenance of career level structure, job titling structure and thus ensuring a competitive benchmarking of Seagate jobs to the relevant markets.
Internal Network & Communication Type
- Works with HR Central or Payroll to request for information and provide guidance for compensation processing.
- Respond to service request from HRBPs, seek clarifications on request and to provide rewards policy explanation to HR stakeholders.
- Will be required to provide system change requirements to HRIS team to ensure that TR transactions proceed accurately and efficiently.
- Seek clarification on guidance and instructions from Total Rewards SMEs to ensure that support is provided efficiently.
External Network & Communication Type
- Will be required to work closely with various Rewards Survey Vendors to ensure timely survey submission as well as seek clarification on survey results and market trends changes. Follow-up on service issues, gaps and data clarification.
- In supporting the TR programs, will be required to reach out to employee solution service vendors to investigate any service gaps and issues reported by various users.
About You
- Detailed oriented, analytical, able to work independently and high initiative.
- Analytical with a strategic acumen to anticipate business needs.
- Able to work with ambiguity and fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Good knowledge of survey methodology and even point-factor job evaluation systems.
- Able to understand organizational job design and thus able to correlate to market benchmarking and analysis, job classification, and compensation program and process development.
- Solid knowledge of labor market economics and analysis of competitive compensation practices.
- Keen understanding of the regulatory environment and issues impacting compensation, as well as highly familiar with accounting and financial terms and concepts.
- Prior experience in handling highly sensitive and confidential information.
- An Advanced level user of Microsoft Excel and modeling with large and complex data sets, Microsoft Access a plus.
- Good understanding of organizational functionalities and able to work well independently or within a team.
Your Experience Includes
- Desired University degree or similar relevant qualifications.
- At least 8 years of experience in HR.
