Responsibilities:
Patient Management
- Assist doctor in preparation that patients case-notes for daily outpatient visit
- Assist doctor on physical clinical examination
- Conduct patient's counselling on financial fees and related surgical & treatment procedures
- Perform clinical nursing care procedure e.g. wound dressing, post surgical care advice and etc.
- Dispense medication to patient and billing when needed
Surgery Management
- Prepare and conduct checks on surgical items, medical equipment and instrument before a surgical procedure
- Administrate and prepare of patient for surgical procedure including pre-surgical briefing/ checks, taking of vital signs and etc.
- Provide assistance to doctor during minor clinical surgery and procedure
- Monitor patients condition and progress during their recovery
- Ensure all sharps and bio-hazards are properly disposed
- Prepare and pack surgical items/instrument for sterilization and disinfection
- Conduct routine stock check and expiry validation / replenish of surgical, medical and other supplies
- Perform other nursing duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum a Diploma in Nursing or equivalent
- Valid Singapore Nursing Board Practicing License
- Minimum 2-3 years nursing experience in Medical Specialist/ Clinic settings
- Possessed a valid OT / AU certificate or Hospital Testimonial will be an advantage
- Experience working in an operating theater / anesthesia unit will be considered an advantage
- Service oriented and enjoy interaction with people
- Mandarin speaker preferred to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
