Job Overview
The Staff Nurse / Senior Staff Nurse will provide professional nursing care to patients in a residential and rehabilitation setting. This role involves clinical care delivery, care coordination, and supporting multidisciplinary rehabilitation efforts to ensure patient safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care & Nursing Duties
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care, including monitoring of vital signs and patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with medical protocols
- Assist doctors and allied health professionals in clinical procedures and care delivery
- Respond to emergency situations and provide timely interventions
Patient Care & Monitoring
- Oversee the overall health status of patients and ensure appropriate care plans are followed
- Observe and report any changes in patients conditions to the medical team
- Support patients in activities of daily living (ADLs) where required
- Ensure proper infection control and safety practices are maintained
Care Coordination & Documentation
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of nursing care, treatment, and progress notes
- Participate in multidisciplinary team discussions and care planning
- Support discharge planning and continuity of care
Supervision & Leadership (for Senior Nurse)
- Supervise and guide junior nurses, nursing aides, and healthcare assistants
- Support staff training, coaching, and performance monitoring
- Assist in managing ward operations and ensuring smooth workflow
Patient & Family Engagement
- Communicate effectively with patients and family members regarding care plans and progress
- Provide education and guidance on care needs and post-discharge support
Compliance & Safety
- Adhere to clinical guidelines, nursing standards, and organisational policies
- Ensure safe handling and use of medical equipment
- Report incidents, risks, or safety concerns promptly
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Nursing or equivalent
- Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) with a valid practising certificate
- Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience (seniority based on experience)
- Experience in aged care, rehabilitation, or community healthcare is preferred
- Strong clinical skills and patient care orientation
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willing to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
