Job Description

The Opportunity

Are you an expert with deep expertise in AI enterprise solutions, possess strong consulting capabilities, and a passion for designing scalable architecture You will join a team of experts who work together with Product Managers and Engineering to craft solutions that drive new product adoption. As subject matter expert, a key deliverable expected would be to own the compilation and publishing of Service Delivery Kits (SDKs) that will be used by the extended professional services team to deliver various AI services around Nutanix products.

Roles & Responsibilities

As the Senior Staff SME, you will be responsible for the AI domain within the Global Practice, from initial service offering creation through to delivery excellence, peer review, and consultant enablement. You will define the technical direction for the domain, develop repeatable delivery kits, shadow every new or updated service on first delivery, and ensure the quality bar is upheld across every engagement. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong business acumen, and proven ability to influence without authority across a global consulting organization.

The SME- NAI is expected to bring deep expertise in:

  • AI/ML platforms and lifecycle (ingest, process, prepare, aggregate, discover, monetize)
  • AI/ML Data Path and Data Governance
  • Kubernetes deployment and troubleshooting
  • Nutanix Cloud Platform (NCI), Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP), and Nutanix Unified Storage (NUS)
  • Nutanix Enterprise AI (NAI) knowledge is a plus
  • Cloud-native and hybrid AI architectures
  • Experience with model deployment, MLOps/AIOps, and enterprise AI governance

The role focuses on thought leadership, hands-on technical skills, and intellectual property creation in the area of the consulting practice. Additionally, the Practice contributes to the optimization of service delivery and delivery processes.

The SME Shall

  • Work with the Services Product Management team under the guidance of the Global Practice Lead – AI/NAI to develop the catalog of service offerings delivered by both Nutanix and Partner consultants.
  • Lead the development of service SKUs, delivery toolkits, and level or effort for all products in the portfolio.
  • Develop repeatable best practices and design guides based upon common customer experiences and solutions.
  • Work with the Services Practice Development team to keep items current and develop training programs to enable the selling and delivery of services.
  • Develop customer trends and common use cases for our product and services, especially within areas of subject matter expertise.
  • Work with Nutanix Product Managers and Enterprise Architects to create service offerings that properly map back to new and existing consulting product offerings.
  • Monitor practice consulting CSAT vis a vis SKUs used, delivery quality, and follow up with suggestions on new updated services on deficient areas where necessary.
  • Monitor practice consulting offer delivery margin and adherence to expected level of effort for standard offerings and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Support via oversight and participation the initial Delivery of New/Updated services
  • Support PS AI initiatives as domain expert
  • Own Delivery Quality Checks/Peer Review Process
  • Own Service Delivery and Service Enablement Kits
  • Engage with Pre-Sales as SME for strategic engagements
  • Own Consultant Skills Check/Evaluation (immediate change)
  • Collaborate with Product Teams, Solutions & Product Management for vision & feedback
  • Compile and publish Blogs, Service Notes, White Papers.
  • Conduct Tech Recruitment and Promotion Interviews in areas of your expertise
  • Deliver cloud native solutions to key Clients and projects where necessary.
  • The expected billable percentage is 15%.

Qualifications

  • 10-15+ years of experience in IT services with at least 3 years in AI technologies.
  • Demonstrated expertise of consulting and AI product implementation experience
  • Minimum of seven years of experience in either service delivery, SI/SP, Enterprise architecture, or services sales roles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep expertise in AI.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, application modernization, and agile delivery.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field; certifications in AI technologies are a plus.
  • Excellent understanding of hybrid cloud modalities, IT go-to market challenges, and business drivers that impact customer purchasing decisions.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering AI/ML solutions based upon customer requirements, hosted on cloud architecture in a Premier account portfolio
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in spoken English and English contract written language
  • Ability to execute on broad strategic direction and when needed dive deep into detail to drive meaningful outcomes
  • Self-motivated and can work in an unstructured environment to develop meaningful strategies and drive execution to achieve goals.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 3 days per week & blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
