Staff Engineer - Cost Analytics

Micron is looking for a Senior/Staff Engineer, Cost Data & Analytics to join our APPOE Cost team. This role is ideal for someone who is strong with numbers, enjoys working with data, and applies analytics, automation, and scripting to drive cost visibility and business impact.
You will partner closely with Finance, Cost, Procurement, and Operations teams globally, turning complex data into actionable insights that support cost optimization and datadriven decisionmaking.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze data to identify cost drivers, trends, and actionable insights

• Extract, consolidate, cleanse, and model data from systems and stakeholder data

• Develop analytics solutions and dashboards for global, crossfunctional stakeholders

• Own and drive cost analytics programs to track performance against company cost targets

• Partner with global stakeholders, working closely with Finance and Cost teams to drive actions toward cost KPIs using datadriven insights and dashboards

• Ensure data quality and continuously improve analytics solutions to support evolving cost targets

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent practical experience

• 4+ years of experience in data analysis or analyticsfocused roles

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail

• Ability to communicate insights clearly to stakeholders

• Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., SAP, Snowflake)

• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)

• Python or scripting experience is a plus
