Job Description

We are seeking a marketing professional with experience in the medical device industry, preferably with exposure to Endoscopy and/or Gastroenterology (GI). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully leading product launches and commercialization initiatives across multiple countries, including distributor-led markets. Experience working within a multinational organization is highly desirable.

About the Role

1. Product & Clinical Expertise

  • Serve as the regional subject matter expert for the product portfolio, maintaining deep clinical knowledge and understanding of endoscopy market dynamics across JAPAC.
  • Engage confidently with physicians, key opinion leaders (KOLs), distributors, and internal stakeholders on clinical applications, product benefits, and customer needs.
  • Provide market and customer insights to support regional commercial strategies and product positioning.

2. Product Strategy, Positioning & Lifecycle Management

  • Translate global product strategies and value propositions into regionally relevant positioning and messaging that address local market needs.
  • Lead regional product launch planning and execution, ensuring successful commercialization across direct and indirect markets.
  • Manage the product lifecycle within the region, including product introductions, updates, field actions, and end-of-life transitions.
  • Partner with global product management and marketing teams to provide market feedback and influence future product development.

3. Commercial Enablement & Market Development

  • Develop and deliver regional sales enablement tools, training materials, and marketing content to support commercial effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with regional and local commercial leaders to define and execute go-to-market strategies, including launches, campaigns, promotions, and conference activities.
  • Ensure sales, marketing, distributor, and service teams fully understand product features, clinical value propositions, and competitive differentiation.
  • Support execution of training and education programs to enhance distributor and sales force capability.

4. Customer & Market Intelligence

  • Capture, consolidate, and analyze customer, competitor, and market intelligence across JAPAC.
  • Establish effective feedback mechanisms to ensure local market insights are incorporated into regional and global strategies.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activities, and emerging customer needs to identify growth opportunities.

5. Cross-Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary interface between local markets and global teams, ensuring alignment, effective communication, and timely execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Finance, Supply Chain, Service, and Commercial teams to support product launches and lifecycle management activities.
  • Provide commercial and market input for regulatory interactions, field corrective actions, and product-related quality initiatives.
  • Coordinate and manage third-party vendors and external partners supporting regional marketing initiatives.

6. Industry Engagement & Strategic Partnerships

  • Lead planning and execution of regional congresses, trade shows, and key industry events.
  • Build and maintain relationships with KOLs, clinical stakeholders, and industry partners to support product adoption and market development.
  • Collaborate with strategic industry partners to develop joint training, promotional, and educational initiatives.

7. Forecasting & Operational Excellence

  • Support product demand forecasting and inventory planning, particularly during new product launches.
  • Ensure regional marketing materials and product documentation remain accurate, compliant, and up to date across digital and print channels.
  • Monitor launch performance and key business metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Required Skills

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in English; Mandarin is an advantage.
  • Proven experience leading product launches and commercialization across multiple countries and distributor-led markets.
  • Degree – min. Bachelor's degree major – Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of Product Marketing experience within the Medical Device industry.
  • Experience in Endoscopy, GI, or related therapeutic areas strongly preferred.
  • Multi-national company experience is an advantage.
