Sr Mechanical Engineer

The Role

We are looking for a senior mechanical engineer who has lived inside the final third of product development and knows how to close the gap between a validated design and a product shipping at volume. This is a hands-on, program-owning role. You will drive DFM with our suppliers, manage NPI programs end to end, and ensure our products are built right the first time at scale.

You are not a project administrator. You are the engineer who flies to the factory, finds the problem on the line, and drives the fix before it becomes a costly mistake.

Key Responsibilities

•      Own NPI programs end to end from design freeze through mass production ramp

•      Drive DFM and DFA with suppliers and contract manufacturers in Asia

•      Lead pilot builds, EVT/DVT/PVT cycles, and production readiness reviews

•      Manage tooling programs: injection molding, metal forming, and precision components

•      Own BOMs, ECOs, and technical documentation throughout the NPI cycle

•      Qualify suppliers and manufacturing processes to required standards

•      Work directly with the design team to iterate CAD models and technical drawings

•      Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and GD&T reviews

•      Report program status, risks, and decisions to product and leadership teams

Requirements

•      Degree in Mechanical Engineering

•      10 to 15 years of experience in hardware product development

•      Proven NPI track record: from design freeze to mass production

•      Proficient in SolidWorks, CATIA, or equivalent CAD platform

•      GD&T proficiency and tolerance stack-up analysis

•      Direct experience managing CMs and suppliers in Asia

•      Comfortable on the factory floor, not just managing by email

•      Background in MedTech, consumer electronics, or precision hardware

Added Advantage

•      Appreciation of market-driven design, product positioning, and time-to-market dynamics

•      Familiarity with project costing and target cost/price thinking

•      Experience in both large-scale manufacturing environments and smaller, faster companies
