What you'll do:

As a Senior Manager Ride and Show Lighting based in Singapore, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual impact of world-class projects. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve managing complex projects from inception through completion with a particular focus on lighting systems. You will collaborate closely with internal teams as well as external vendors to ensure that every aspect of design, installation, testing, and adjustment is executed flawlessly. Success in this role requires exceptional organisational skills as you coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining open lines of communication across diverse stakeholders. Your ability to interpret creative intent into actionable technical requirements will be key as you guide your team towards delivering safe, reliable, and visually stunning experiences for guests.

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of ride and show lighting systems, including specification, bid/award processes, design, production, installation, and acceptance testing to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Maintain the highest level of safety for all show and ride equipment by adhering strictly to established specifications, manufacturing practices, and industry standards.
  • Provide expert technical guidance and manage vendors throughout design, fabrication, installation, testing, and adjustment activities in the field.
  • Participate actively in all aspects of vendor contract management including directives and change orders to ensure project objectives are met efficiently.
  • Facilitate open communication between project teams, vendors, sub-contractors, and third parties involved in show and ride systems with particular emphasis on lighting systems.
  • Develop strong relationships with facility and construction teams as well as vendors to guarantee clarity regarding installation schedules and activities.
  • Create detailed scope of work documentation and award contracts based on quantitative requirements derived from creative intent while upholding technical principles.
  • Lead enforcement of technical and safety standards across all show and ride deliverables to provide high-quality products that meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Advise on engineering quality and status of show & ride systems while identifying areas of risk or potential future challenges.
  • Actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policies, procedures, training programmes, and team member involvement activities.

  • A minimum of seven years experience in specific technical or engineering roles supporting lighting equipment such as holographic technology or video display technology is essential.
  • Demonstrated expertise in vendor management with at least five years significant hands-on experience overseeing in-field installations is required.
  • Extensive experience (seven to ten years) working with scenic systems related to large-scale entertainment venues is necessary for success in this position.
  • Ability to interpret complex technical instructions presented in mathematical or diagram form while dealing effectively with abstract variables is crucial.
  • Strong analytical skills enabling you to define problems clearly, collect relevant data efficiently, establish facts accurately, and draw valid conclusions are vital.
  • Exceptional organisational abilities allowing you to manage intricate series of tasks involving multiple vendors for successful implementation of show and ride systems are expected.
  • Comfortable influencing major decisions using tact and diplomacy while maintaining positive relationships among stakeholders is important for this role.
