Job Description
As an Industry 4.0 (I4.0) Product Owner at Micron Technology, Inc., you will lead the definition, development, and delivery of end-to-end smart manufacturing solutions to empower Micron Assembly and Test Operation to improve cost, scale, quality and productivity. You will bridge business, engineering, and data science teams to drive Industry 4.0 transformation, leveraging industry best methods, advanced analytics, automation, and AI/ML to optimize planning and manufacturing operations. This role requires deep expertise in I4.0 technologies and strong hands-on data science skills to deliver impactful, scalable solutions across global operations.
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership & I4.0 Leadership
Define and drive the I4.0 product roadmap, aligning with business objectives and manufacturing strategies.
Lead cross-functional teams (engineering, IT, data science, operations) to deliver integrated smart manufacturing solutions.
Gather, analyze, and prioritize requirements from end users and stakeholders, develop business cases, validate impact, and propose high-ROI projects for implementation.
Understands business problems and effectively translates user requirements into technical specifications-and vice versa-for data science, technical solution, and IT teams.
Collaborate with global teams to deploy and maintain data science solutions in production environments, ensure data quality, integrity, and continuous improvement across all relevant data sources.
Document artifacts related to software development, design, test cases, user training and releases.
Communicate effectively with peers, senior management, and external partners.
Present to small and large groups, demonstrating strong leadership and relationship management skills.
Ensure optimization and standardization of tools and processes by leveraging central team business partner to enable sustainable scaling across sites.
Data Science & Analytics
Provide expert guidance on system interfaces, capabilities, and process improvements.
Design and develop intuitive and responsive user interface for interactive data visualization to explain insights from data or analytic models.
Create wireframes, prototypes and UI mockups based on business requirements and user feedback.
Collaborate with backend and frontend developers to define API specifications and deliver robust solutions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
5+ years of experience in smart manufacturing, process engineering, or similar operations, with proven I4.0 project delivery.
Proven experience leading cross-functional and global teams, with strong collaboration skills across peers, senior, and mid-level management.
Demonstrated experience in driving digital transformation initiatives within manufacturing or industrial environments.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
3+ years of hands-on experience in data science, analytics, or related roles. Strong knowledge of data engineering (ETL, data warehousing, SQL, database management systems such as Snowflake).
Proficiency in web development (Angular, JavaScript/Typescript, HTML) and business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power Platform).
Experience with APIs, JSON/XML data formats, and Agile development processes.
Strong domain knowledge is preferred, particularly in capacity modeling, planning and optimization, as well as line management and manufacturing performance monitoring.
Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and systems (e.g., MES, SAP) is a plus.

Additional Job Description
As a Smart Manufacturing Analyst at Micron Technology, Inc., you will enable new frontier technology for Smart manufacturing to define, drive and deliver end to end smart manufacturing solution, integrated across functions of the business. The team will look into applying industry-leading methodologies in automation, AI and machine learning to enhance Micron's product development, business and administrative processes across the company. Responsibilities and Tasks: Partner with Test, Product & Quality group to drive AI transformation in Micron, enabling new insights and innovative solutions for Technology acceleration. Conceptualize, Prototype and productize innovative solutions using artificial intelligence, big data to improve/revolutionize Micron manufacturing performance in product yield, quality, test coverage and system level performance. Participate/Lead End-to-End project teams comprising of Data Scientists, Industry 4.0 analysts, Solution Architects & Data Engineers. Provide domain insights into available data, identify gaps in existing data set, collaborate with data scientists to apply various AI techniques in providing technical solutions. Be the expert in Micron data sources, translate project requirements to specific available data sources, specify new requirements to Data Architects and Data Engr in Technical solutions team. Work with solution end users to analyze related information to design & define requirements. Provide expert functional and process guidance on system interface and capabilities. Develop business case, including impact validation approach, ROI of potential solutions, propose & prioritize projects for implementation.
