Sr Engineer (Slider Process Engineer, Lapping & Pitstop)

About the Role - YouWill:

• Take ownership todevelop newlappingand Pitstopprocess (apitstopprocess whichpreparationallkindofplateto support lappingprocessthat will lap the bars to meet SH and RES target)which deliver best-in-classfor writer and reader requirement, and eventually better mechanicaland electricalyield

• Develop assembly tooling ormachinethat are compatible withthenewlapping and pitstopprocesswithabasic concept of mechanicaland electricaldesign

• Learn & study the chemical properties of variouslubricant(Lube and Slurry) to simplify the existinglapping and pitstopprocess

• Work closely withoperation shopfloor teams (manufacturing,processand equipment engineering) to enable successful execution ofnew technologyintotheprocess

• Beresponsible fortechnology and/or process transfer between sitesor inter departments

• Able to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams

• Able to prioritize multiple tasks, manage conflicting deadlinesand work effectively in a dynamic environment

• Excellent teamwork, leadership,organizationand presentation skills

• Ability to effectively plan, control and take responsibility for timeline and status update

• Haveprior experience in programming, including developing software and working with various coding languages, in both academic and practical settings.

• Fluent in English communication, both spoken and written

• Bachelor'sor higher degree intheElectrical/Mechatronic/ChemicalEngineering/Computer scienceand/or equivalent experience

• Knowledge ofHard Disk Drives or Electronic Manufacturing

• MechanicalDesignandDevelopment

• Processdevelopmentand process improvement

• Problemanalysis (6-sigma approach, Kepner TregoeandCAPA8D)

• Proficiencyin CAD design or simulation tools and basic automation control systems is an added advantage.
