Your Job
As a Senior Engineer, Metrology, you will be responsible for overseeing all measurement aspects to ensure precision and quality. In this role, you will provide measurement and analysis services to internal and external customers, maintain and enhance equipment and facilities, and contribute as a subject matter expert in metrology. Youll play a critical role in driving technological improvements, supporting new product development, and collaborating with the global Metrology team to align best practices across the organization.
Our Team
You will work closely with various internal teams, including Advanced Quality Planning (AQP), Product Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Industrial Engineering (MIE), Production, and Project Management (PJM). Additionally, youll interact with external suppliers and customers to ensure all measurement and analysis needs are met with excellence.
What You Will Do
- Develop and implement precise measurement methods and recipes for inspection and measurement system tools.
- Support new product development by ensuring measurement equipment availability and reliability throughout the development process.
- Manage and prioritize the overall measurement request load to meet the needs of the product development team, quality department, and operations team.
- Analyse measurement data and provide recommendations for improvement to stakeholders.
- Design and develop processes, standards, and work instructions to ensure safe, efficient, and effective equipment operation aligned with customer requirements.
- Maintain the upkeep and reliability of measurement tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in metrology technology and practices.
- Collaborate with internal and external entities to share insights and best practices in metrology.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelors degree in a technical field (e.g., Engineering, Physics, Measurement) or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Metrology Engineer.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of metrology principles and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Strong understanding of Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
What Will Put You Ahead
- Training in Design of Experiments (DOE), Advanced Quality Planning tools such as DFMEA, Lean/Six Sigma, and reliability test plans.
- Hands-on experience conducting calibration and Gauge R&R (Repeatability and Reproducibility) studies.
- Familiarity with connectors or switches.
- Experience working with CAD software.
