Overview
This role is accountable for shaping and executing a clear, disciplined, and high‑impact executive internal communications, external social strategy for the Asia President, while executing strong communications operations and President office support to ensure priorities, including customer & partner engagements are delivered with precision.
As a senior individual contributor reporting to the Chief of Staff, this role requires an operator to work closely with the Asia President and Chief of Staff to translate leadership priorities into clear messages, compelling narratives, and operationalizing initiatives across the region.
The role requires strong knowledge of Microsoft organizational structure, internal tools and platforms and a forward thinker who proactively learn and adopt emerging productivity and AI‑enabled capabilities to improve efficiency and impact. This role actively seeks feedback, measure effectiveness, and continuously refine approaches based on insight and data.
Responsibilities
Executive Communications Framework & Operations
- Own end‑to‑end executive communications framework and execution aligned to the Asia President business priorities, executing with disciplined in an evolving environment.
- Translate complex strategies and transformations into clear, compelling communications tailored to diverse audiences across Asia.
- Plan and continuously evolve the Asia President's communications platform, maintaining a clear, pragmatic leadership voice while navigating ambiguity and a volatile macro environment.
- Partner closely with PR/External Media, Area Executive Communications Leads, and functional teams to ensure integrated, consistent messaging across internal and external channels.
- Stay current with Microsoft internal tools, external social platforms, apply them hands‑on -along with emerging AI‑enabled capabilities - to develop content that expands reach, engagement, and efficiency.
- Develop timely, relevant content aligned with corporate priorities, adapting narratives with an Asia lens and refining in real time based on feedback and sentiment.
- Project manage the end‑to‑end delivery of executive communications and engagement platforms, including town halls and leadership events, covering logistics, run‑of‑show planning, vendor coordination, and day‑to‑day ownership of all operational elements, including POs, invoices, and contracts.
- Define success metrics, monitor engagement outcomes, and use insights to continuously refine plan and execution.
Asia President Office Operations
- Represent the Asia President and work with Corporate, Area and Functional teams to execute initiatives such as CxO Summits, internal awards and GIVE campaigns.
- Actively review and improve workflows, processes and schedules to create efficiency for the Asia President to engage externally. Take a forward‑looking approach, continuously prioritizing, sequencing, and optimizing time against evolving needs.
- Anticipate issues and decision points, proactively identifying risks, trade‑offs, and opportunities well ahead of execution.
- Create and manage a centralized repository for the Asia President, leveraging Microsoft and AI‑enabled tools to deliver content in the most effective format and timing to prepare the for meetings, engagements, and trips.
- Execute with strong attention to detail and rigor, ensuring readiness, accuracy, and follow‑through across the President office deliverables.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in Business Strategy, Operations, Executive Communications with demonstrated strength in operations, project management, and execution.
- Experience managing complex tasks with conflicting timelines and operating in a fast‑paced, matrixed, enterprise technology environment.
- Strong level of judgment, maturity, and organizational agility ability to influence without authority.
- Proven ability to manage ambiguity in an evolving environment, prioritize effectively, strong attention to detail and deliver with minimal supervision.
- Experience working with senior leaders and executive offices.
- Familiarity with Asia markets and regional dynamics.
