As a Sr Capital Category Supplier Manager II, you will be the primary category point of contact for supplier interactions, performance management, and negotiations globally. You will lead in the development and implementation of category strategies and projects related but not limited to cost reduction initiatives, supply base optimization, and pricing/contract negotiation!
Category Management & Strategic Sourcing
Develop and implement Category Strategy for Capital Equipment
Perform Market analysis including supplier landscape, capabilities, and technology roadmaps
Participate in supplier segmentation and strategic goal setting to improve value such as high revenue, spend reduction, purchasing efficiency, customer services, and supplier management
Recommend resource levels across procurement sourcing categories, projects, and functions
Drive sourcing requirements and supplier selection through decision matrix in support of technology development, cost reduction, performance improvement efforts, and sustainability
Facilitate co-development activities and collaboration with suppliers
Implement processes to manage partner well-being with key suppliers
Cost Management & Analysis
Identify and evaluate category-specific savings and revenue levers
Drive category savings and revenue and scorecard metric targets
Provide market intelligence and category price trends to relevant internal partners
Use cost modeling techniques to negotiate for assigned categories based on global benchmarks.
Negotiation
Lead and partner with collaborators in negotiations with suppliers for strategic sourcing events/RFQ process into bundled negotiation
Lead or participate in negotiations for contract extensions and renewals, renegotiation of prices, transfers, etc.
Incorporate savings targets and contract requirements into negotiations
Build and negotiate supplier contracts in assigned categories, monitoring and implementing terms to improve cost performance and drive successful business engagement.
Business Partnering
Partner with Customers to deliver Strategic Solutions for the assigned categories
Develop and maintain expertise in the assigned spending categories through relationships with key partners
Interact with Micron and Supplier executives
Drive customer-centric approach to solving issues and representing Procurement
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Procurement and Engineering
A bachelor's degree in engineering business
Proficiency in Probe and Test Processes and Capital Procurement
Experienced in a Category Management role, preferably in the semiconductor or high-tech industry
Demonstrate experience in Strategic Sourcing
Strong in Negotiation and Communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Purchasing Manager or CPSN Certification
