Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain solutions using MS SQL Server (2016)
- Write and optimise stored procedures and SQL code
- Create and manage database views and related objects (functions, synonyms etc.)
- Translate functional banking requirements into technical SQL implementations (non-DBA role)
- Perform non-functional testing to ensure system performance and reliability
- Provide production support by troubleshooting and resolving application issues
- Monitor and support applications in production, troubleshooting and resolving issues
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business and technical needs
The Successful Applicant
A successful candidate should have:
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in MS SQL development
- Strong expertise in relational databases (MSSQL) and SQL programming
- Familiarity with XML exposure to PowerShell and Java/Spring Boot is advantageous
- Good understanding of banking, finance, or investment banking domains
- Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to take ownership with a customer-focused mindset
- Collaborative team player with mentoring ability exposure to Docker/Kubernetes is a plus
