Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver structured coaching sessions appropriate to participants age and ability levels
- Teach correct techniques, rules, and strategies for swimming and sailing
- Support athlete development from beginner to advanced levels
- Monitor individual progress and provide constructive feedback
- Ensure all sessions comply with health, safety, and safeguarding policies
- Maintain constant supervision during water-based activities
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe use of equipment and facilities
- Respond appropriately to emergencies, following established procedures
Programme Development
- Assist in developing training programmes, lesson plans, and seasonal schedules
- Support competitions, regattas, swim meets, and events where required
- Encourage participation, motivation, and positive sporting values
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Recognized coaching qualification in Swimming and/or Sailing
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Proven experience coaching swimming and/or sailing
- Strong knowledge of water safety and safeguarding practices
