Our core platform - Cargo Eye, Assemble Planner, Assemble Builder and Cargo Arm - is built on AI, Computer Vision, Complex Non-Linear Optimisation, Combinatorics, Computational Geometry, and Large-Scale Robotics, solving genuinely NP-hard problems at the core of how air cargo is planned, built, and moved. We digitize and optimize one of the world's most under-digitized industries: a $150B market where up to half of every plane still flies empty and 100% of cargo build-up is still done by hand.

This isn't off-the-shelf software. Every deployment means adapting these systems to how a specific airline actually operates, and working shoulder-to-shoulder with their teams to change decades-old physical processes on the warehouse floor. We're not a software house selling a standardized product - we're a deep-tech company whose engineers own the full stack, from the hard mathematics at the core to the operational rollout.

We're now in the middle of a company-defining, multi-year engagement: deploying our full platform across the global network of one of the largest and oldest air cargo airlines in the world, endorsed and directly backed by the client's C-level leadership. It's rolling out in phases - Asia first, then the US, then Europe - and is expected to anchor Speedcargo's global expansion for the next five years. This is the project that will define Speedcargo's next chapter, and the person in this role will be one of the people who defines it.

The Role

We're looking for a hands-on Senior Software Engineer who can also lead and manage a distributed engineering team - someone who codes at a very high level and can also own delivery, architecture decisions, and people leadership across three locations: Singapore, India, and a Senior Architect based in Boston, USA.

This is a senior technical leadership seat at the center of Speedcargo's flagship global rollout - not a role scoped to one client engagement, but the role that will shape how we deploy, scale, and support our platform as this transformation expands from Asia into the US and Europe over the coming years, and as new customers follow. You'll report directly into leadership, with significant ownership over technical execution and team output.

What matters is real engineering depth, strong judgement, and the ability to lead.

What You'll Do

- Own architecture and technical design decisions for our core deep-tech platform (Cargo Eye, Assemble Planner, Assemble Builder), in close collaboration with our Boston-based Senior Architect

- Lead, manage, and grow a distributed engineering team across Singapore and India, holding them to a high bar as we scale a global, multi-phase deployment

- Get close to the customer: work directly with airline engineering and operations teams during deployment, testing, and go-live - not just shipping code, but helping redesign how cargo build-up actually happens on the ground

- Shape how our products adapt to real airline operations - feeding field learnings back into the core platform rather than treating deployment as someone else's problem

- Interact directly with client leadership and stakeholders as a trusted technical voice on a C-level-backed transformation

- Drive sprint planning, code quality, and delivery timelines that balance fast iteration with the reliability mission-critical airline operations demand

- Travel globally as needed to support deployments across Asia, the US, and Europe - this is a role that lives close to the deployment, not behind a screen

- Help lay the technical and operational groundwork for the next five years of Speedcargo's global scale-up

What We're Looking For

- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience

- Excellent coding ability with strong fundamentals in software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms

- Proven experience leading or managing engineering teams, ideally distributed across multiple locations

- Strong hands-on experience with: Golang, Python, C/C++, React, Shell scripting, REST APIs, MongoDB, SQL

- Linux - mandatory, and very strong (not just familiar)

- Docker - mandatory

- Experience with DevOps tooling: Ansible, Terraform

- Working knowledge of Azure and AWS

- Excellent communication skills - comfortable presenting to and working directly with customer and executive stakeholders

- A track record of shipping and owning systems end-to-end, not just contributing to them
