The Job
- Support the growth of the commercial and residential projects business.
- Identify, develop, and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, including architects, developers, main contractors, building material suppliers, door partners, and system integrators.
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities, specifications, and tenders within the CRM system, driving them through to successful conversion.
- Proactively identify customer needs and market opportunities, assess project potential, and position appropriate solutions to secure wins.
- Manage and grow key accounts through regular engagement, tracking market trends, leveraging BCI leads, and identifying new opportunities to expand market share.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide accurate and compliant specifications and scheduling support, ensuring alignment with building codes, standards, and client requirements.
- Prepare detailed quotations for tenders and actively participate in tender interviews and commercial negotiations.
- Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely updates of bills of quantities, and support project scheduling, mock-ups, and sample installations where required.
- Coordinate effectively between customers and internal teams (sales, logistics, finance) to deliver a high level of service, particularly for installation and after-sales support.
- Analyze market trends, pricing strategies, and customer insights.
- Deliver responsive, reliable, and high-quality customer service throughout the project lifecycle.
The Talent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in specification sales or project sales within relevant industries.
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Strong technical understanding of electronics, hardware, and door opening/access solutions.
- Customer-focused mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Solid understanding of project sales cycles, construction processes, and the commercial/residential building sector.
- Established network with key industry stakeholders such as developers, contractors, consultants, and system integrators.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Possesses own transport.
