Key Responsibilities
- Engage architects, consultants, developers, contractors, interior designers, design firms, hotel operators, and relevant authorities during project concept and design stages to influence product specifications and secure approvals
- Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and lunch-and-learn sessions for design and engineering firms
- Track project pipelines to ensure timely conversion of specifications toward secured projects, monitoring progress from design stage through to tender and construction
- Maintain accurate reporting on project status, specification activities, market activities, and new opportunities
- Support marketing and sales objectives through seminars, trade fairs, exhibitions, and other marketing initiatives to promote branding and product visibility
- Perform market research for expansion opportunities, emerging trends, and new market segments; evaluate competitor activities, strengths, weaknesses, and market positioning; develop counter-strategies and benchmarks
- Support R&D department by advising on market needs, trends, and customer pain points to drive strategic product innovation and pricing strategies
- Identify marketing opportunities and requirements; monitor regulatory changes and building compliance requirements in Southeast Asia
- Meet specification work targets for assigned projects and prepare regular reports on activities and performance
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Structural Engineering, Building, Construction, Architecture, Interior Design, or related discipline
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in product/system specification work within the building materials, construction, or architectural products industry
- Proven track record of successfully influencing specifications with architects, consultants, and developers on large-scale commercial, residential, hospitality, and institutional projects
- Strong understanding of construction practices and design compliances in Southeast Asia, including familiarity with building codes, regulations, and approval processes in Singapore and regional markets
- Good and wide network of relationships with architects, consultants, developers, interior designers, and design firms
- Strong presentation, engagement, and communication skills with ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively
