We are seeking a passionate Specialty Barista to craft quality coffee and beverages, deliver excellent customer service, and maintain high standards in a fast-paced café environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare specialty coffee and handcrafted beverages to meet quality standards
- Perform daily espresso calibration and adjust grinders to ensure optimal extraction
- Maintain consistency in coffee extraction and beverage quality through precise techniques
- Create clean and consistent latte art to enhance customer experience
- Keep the coffee station clean, organized, and well-stocked
- Support café service efficiently during peak periods
- Recommend beverages and engage customers warmly to enhance satisfaction
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, and café supplies to ensure availability
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and uphold high service standards
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience in specialty coffee or café environment
- Knowledge of espresso extraction and calibration
- Ability to texture milk and perform latte art consistently
- Passion for coffee and delivering excellent customer experience
- Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team
- Willingness to work weekends and public holidays
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with manual brew methods
- Coffee recipe development skills
- Ability to train junior staff
- Knowledge of grinder maintenance and coffee workflow
