Specialist - Shipping Operations Manager (Dry Bulk)

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to lead the commercial operations team for our dry bulk shipping business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dry bulk operations and commercial shipping, with proven leadership and managerial skills. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily performance of the operations team, ensuring smooth execution of all voyages, and driving continuous improvement in operational efficiency and commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage the operations team handling bulk carriers under voyage charter, time charter, and COA agreements.
2. Oversee the execution of voyages, including issuing voyage instructions, coordinating with Masters, charterers, agents, and other stakeholders.
3. Ensure compliance with Charter Party terms and operational KPIs.
4. Supervise invoicing processes, including freight, hire, and demurrage ensure accurate and timely settlement.
5. Work closely with Laytime and Bunker PICs to manage laytime calculations, bunker planning, and voyage accounting.
6. Monitor vessel performance, consumption, speed, and handle performance claims or under-performance issues.
7. Settle disputes with relevant parties
8. Develop and implement procedures and systems to enhance operational effectiveness, including digital tools andprocess improvements.
9. Prepare regular reports (weekly, monthly, ad-hoc) for internal and management review.
Work closely with the Chartering and Finance teams to support overall fleet performance and strategy.
