As a result of the changing environment in commodity markets, Anglo American has centralised its marketing & sales activities in one Marketing Business in order to enhance commercial capabilities and extract full value of the commercial value chain. With the centralisation new ways of working, efficient processes and procedures, standardised IM systems as well as a new organisational model are being implemented to create a world class centralised, super-efficient, twin centred marketing function that can anticipate market developments and proactively plan sales and marketing activities with full information, visibility, and a fast, efficient decision-making process.

Job Description

What you&aposll do

This role will provide system, operational and rewards support for Business Partnering & Initiatives and overall P&O projects that contribute to the achievement of P&O goals and align with the overall Marketing strategy.

Systems

  • Be the P&O champions for Marketing on various P&O systems used to support our employee data, including provide support on system escalation matters to seek action and/ or look for alternative solutions.
  • Lead ongoing design, development, implementation, integration and rollout of P&O systems, including identifying any issues around system interfere with the ability to complete work or meet the plan/ strategy.
  • Work with GSS and IM to ensure the support model for the various P&O systems is being managed correctly and SLAs are being met.
  • Work with GSS to support SuccessFactors / Nav+ release plan, includes leading and managing UAT testing.
  • Help drive the change management and communications approach across Marketing P&O/ CMT in support of the system.

Operational

  • Provides professional operational support to the P&O team across a range of P&O activities, including the coordination of P&O administration, creating and maintaining appropriate data bases. Ensures all aspects of work are delivered in a timely manner, to the required quality standards, and in line with Group and Business Unit guidelines.
  • Ensures all personnel records are updated, data is securely, accurately and effectively stored, including administers, updates and maintains effective storage of P&O related data in particular employees personnel files (both physical and electronic versions).
  • Provides data input to payroll processes and manages the P&O related invoices and ensures their correct approvals are undertaken in a timely manner.
  • Conducts the analysis, manipulation and interpretation of P&O data extracted from Systems and the effective and efficient delivery of data in form of standard and ad hoc reporting, presentations, figures and metrics.
  • Responsible for the implementation/ changes of new and existing P&O policies and procedures.

Rewards

  • Support the implementation and administration of compensation and benefits programs, including annual salary reviews, bonus cycles, performance management and benefits renewal.
  • Provide guidance to HR teams and the wider employee population on compensation and benefits policies and processes.
  • Support benchmarking and market data analysis to inform pay positioning and benefits competitiveness.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives within the Rewards function.

Other Projects

  • Participate and support of key projects & initiatives.
  • Assist in ad hoc tasks/ projects which might be assigned from time to time.

Other Responsibilities

  • Be a dependable resource and provides professional support to roll-out of P&O information systems.
  • Translate policy intent and directions into workable system solutions on the P&O systems platform to ensure the most effective and efficient method for implementation.

Compliance (required for all roles)

  • Adherence to all Anglo American Group and Marketing policies and procedures, as well as observing proper standards of conduct relating to the role.
  • Comply with Anglo American Security and Operating Standards

Qualifications

What were looking for

  • Degree qualification in a relevant discipline
  • HR related preferred but not essential
  • SAP or similar ERP systems knowledge
  • MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Employment legislations and P&O best practice in Singapore & China
