Job Description

Role Purpose:

The Project Expeditor is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of Equipment, and required documentation, in accordance with the project schedule and contractual commitments. The role coordinates with suppliers and internal stakeholders to monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation measures to safeguard the project's delivery timelines

Job Responsibilities:

  • Expediting Planning and Execution: Develop and implement the Project Expediting Plan in alignment with the project schedule, Assign expediting priorities based on equipment criticality, Ensure expediting activities are aligned with project milestones and delivery requirements.
  • Supplier Coordination and Monitoring: Maintain ongoing communication with suppliers to track manufacturing and delivery progress, Monitor supplier performance against agreed schedules and contractual requirements, Review supplier progress reports and follow up on deviations
  • Documentation and Submittal Control: Ensure timely submission of all suppliers technical documentation and data, Track and expedite engineering submittals through internal review processes, Coordinate with engineering and work package teams to resolve delays or issues.
  • Manufacturing and Delivery Tracking; Monitor procurement, fabrication, inspection, and shipment status, Coordinate factory inspections with Quality teams, Ensure Equipment is delivered in accordance with schedule and quality requirements.
  • Risk Management and Issue Resolution: Identify risks related to delivery delays or documentation gaps, Develop and implement mitigation or recovery actions, Escalate critical issues to management as required, Support resolution of delivery discrepancies and OS&D issues
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare and issue regular expediting reports (e.g., weekly status reports), Highlight key risks, delays, and recommended actions, Provide accurate and timely updates to project stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Coordination, Interface with Procurement, Engineering, Planning, QA/QC, Logistics, and Construction teams, Participate in project meetings and status reviews, Ensure alignment between supplier activities and project execution requirements
  • Field Expediting (as required), Conduct supplier site visits to verify manufacturing progress and schedule adherence, Prepare site visit reports and follow up on corrective actions

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related discipline (preferred)
  • 3-5 years of experience in construction or engineering projects
  • Experience in Projects with multiple office locations.
  • Ability to interpret schedules, technical documentation, and contractual requirements
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Proficiency in reporting tools and project tracking systems
