The candidate will be expected to be able to:
.Learn from and work together with Lab Technicians who are familiar with our studio operations
.Independently operate a small studio (video cameras, microphones, mixer, lighting, etc) to support teaching of laboratory-based classes
.Provide photography and video editing services to support teaching and department events (on site and virtual)
.Work with faculty to co-develop teaching-related content (graphics, animations, videos etc)
.May also support ad hoc course marketing and department branding (posters, eDMs, social media posts etc)
.Maintain inventory on AV equipment
.Work professionally with department faculty, administrators, technical staff and students
.Be friendly to work with and highly self-motivated

. Diploma or higher in a relevant field (mass communications, media, design
. Knowledge of microbiology/life sciences/biology is NOT required
. Basic training on how to use the existing equipment will be provided by others who are currently operating but candidate must be prepared to proficiently operate the studio within 1 month of on job training
. Proficiency in the following software (or similar software): adobe photoshop, premier, canva etc.
. It would be highly advantageous if the candidate had a strong social media presence or a professional media portfolio to show expertise in content development
