Special Education Teacher (International School)

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teachers of Learning Support to help students with individual learning needs achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will work with students in classrooms and small groups, providing support in academic, social, emotional, and behavioural areas, while collaborating closely with teachers, families, and the wider school team.

Key Responsibilities:

. Support students individually or in small groups to achieve academic, social, emotional, and behavioural goals.

. Collaborate with class teachers to develop differentiated learning programmes, individualised learning plans, and strategies tailored to student needs.

. Conduct assessments, monitor progress, and use data to inform interventions and teaching practices.

. Identify root causes of learning challenges and implement effective strategies to address them.

. Coach and guide staff in implementing in-class support plans, including workshops and professional development.

. Work closely with families to promote positive home-school communication and engagement.

. Contribute to a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment that encourages high standards and individual excellence.

. Participate in school-wide initiatives, extracurricular programmes, and holistic learning activities.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

. Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed., PGCE, or equivalent).

. Learning Support, Special Education, or SEN qualification preferred (or evidence of progress towards one).

. Proven classroom teaching experience, preferably at the Primary or Senior level in an international school setting.

. Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs, including academic, social-emotional, and behavioural challenges.

. Experience developing and implementing Individualised Learning Plans (ILPs) or differentiated instruction.
