Job Responsibilities
- Oversee food preparation to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to halal standards
- Support menu planning and execution for banquets, corporate functions, and large-scale events
- Manage kitchen operations during events, ensuring timely service and smooth coordination
- Supervise and guide junior kitchen staff to maintain performance and standards
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and halal certification requirements
- Monitor inventory, stock levels, and coordinate with suppliers for quality ingredients
- Assist in cost control and efficient use of kitchen resources
- Support overall kitchen operations and handle ad-hoc duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts, F&B, or related field
- 4-6 years of relevant experience, preferably in halal-certified or banquet/event kitchens
- Strong knowledge of halal food preparation and hygiene standards
- Experience leading or supervising a kitchen team
- Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Good organisational and multitasking skills
- Team player with a proactive and responsible attitude
- Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
