We are a cosmetics and fragrance company, and we are looking for an enthusiastic and pro-active individual to play a critical role in supporting the Procurement and Sourcing Director in managing the sourcing planning of the organization.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and engaging with suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
The successful candidate will have strong coordination and planning skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and the ability to collaborate with various key stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Procurement and Sourcing Director to develop and implement effective sourcing strategies aligned with the company's objectives.
- Identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and conduct thorough assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards and cost efficiency
- Coordinate and plan procurement activities in collaboration with key stakeholders, including marketing, planning, quality control, and business development departments.
- Send weekly reporting and debrief to key stakeholders (Marketing, Sales & Finance) about deadlines, action plan to make sure we meet launch date of new products.
- Send QC reports to suppliers with % of defective rate and claim of credit note in coordination with Finance department.
- Monitor supplier performance, address any issues or concerns, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Liaise and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of suppliers and timely delivery of goods, prototypes and services.
- Support Sourcing director to negotiate and establish contractual agreements with suppliers, including pricing, terms, and conditions, while ensuring favourable terms for the organization.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of supplier contracts, pricing, COGS and related documentation.
- Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, including marketing, planning, quality control, and business development teams.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, compliance standards, and changes in market conditions that may impact sourcing strategies.
- Provide regular reports and updates to the Procurement and Sourcing Director regarding sourcing activities, supplier performance, and cost-saving initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Diploma in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- At least 2-3 years Proven experience in sourcing and procurement roles, preferably within consumer goods, beauty goods, lifestyle products or luxury goods industry.
- Chinese speaking is mandatory.
- High sense of quality and attention to details
- Solid understanding of sourcing strategies, supplier evaluation, negotiation techniques, planning and contract management.
- Strong coordination and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and ensure smooth collaboration between departments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, strong planner with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations, compliance standards, and ethical sourcing practices.
- Proactive resourceful, and adaptable, with a continuous improvement mindset.
Salary: $3k-$4k depending on experience
